TARTU MARATONI KLASSIK

REGULATIONS

  1. The intention of the Tartu Maratoni Klassik (hereinafter Klassik or Cup) is to motivate people to participate in physical activity throughout the year and take part in mass participation sport events organized by the Club Tartu Maraton.
  2. In 2022, the Klassik consists of 5 events organized by the Club Tartu Maraton on the following distances:
    • 48. Tartu Maraton on 20.02.2022 (hereinafter TM): 63 km, 31 km and virtual race 20.12.2021-20.03.2022
    • 40. Tartu Maastikumaraton 08.05.2022 (hereinafter MM): 42, 24, 10 and 5 km and virtual race 22.04.-15.05.2022
    • 41. Tartu Rattaralli 29.05.2022 (hereinafter RR): 124 and 56 km and virtual race 20.05.-5.06.2022
    • 25. Tartu Rattamaraton 18.09.2022 (hereinafter RM): 89, 40 and 21 km and virtual race 9.09.-25.09.2022
    • 11. Tartu Linnamaraton 01.10.2022 (hereinafter LM): 42, 21 and 10 km and virtual race 23.09.-9.10.2022
    • A person, who has completed at least one of the given distances in any of the above named events, is considered a participant in the Cup, regardless of the method of registration.
    • A person, who has completed a distance in all of the above named events, is considered an accomplisher of the Cup, virtual races are also valid.
  3. Registration takes place on the website of Club Tartu Marathon at www.tartumaraton.ee. To take part in the Cup, it is possible to register for all of the events at once or to separately choose one or more, as the participant wishes. Entry fee rates and deadlines are listed on the registration page and in the regulations of each event.
    3.1. By registering to several 2022 Cup events at once, the following discounts apply (regardless of the race distance):
    • by registering to 3 events at once - 10% of the current entry fees;
    • by registering to 4 events at once - 15% of the current entry fees;
    • by registering to 5 events at once - 20% of the current entry fees.

​3.2. A discount of 50% from the current registration wave price is available for the youth up to the age of 18 (included), this discount does not apply to the re-registration fee and when registering on the day of the race.
3.3. For those who registered with the youth discount price, other discounts (group discount, season discount) do not apply.
3.4. A discount of 10% from the current registration wave price is available for groups of 10 or more participants to whom other discounts do not apply. The registration must be done as a group all at once via the registration system of our homepage.

  1. The individual rankings of the Cup shall be determined based upon the results of the events named above. Participant who wishes to be hidden in the start and finish lists of an event, cannot have their result from this event included in the ranking.
    4.1. To ascertain the ranking list of the Cup, the index of the participant's rank (hereinafter K) for each real event shall be calculated:




    The higher the value of the K index, the better the result. The results are rounded to one decimal place. Each participant shall receive at least one point.
    4.2. The weight of the K index of the different events and distances varies as follows:

    RM 21 km, LM 10 km 50% K index * 0,5
    MM 5 km 40% K index * 0,4

    4.3. The top 6 participants of every main distance shall receive bonus points, in addition to the points calculated on the basis of the K index, as follows: 100, 50, 25, 15, 10 and 5. Bonus distances are: TM 63 km, MM 24 km, RR 124 km, RM 89 km and LM 42 km.
    4.4. Participant who has completed a virtual race and does not have a result from the corresponding real event, shall receive 1 point from that event regardless of distance.
    4.5. The overall rankings in the Cup shall be determined by adding together the participant’s point scores from all the events.
    4.6. In case of participants that have acquired an equal number of points over the course of the Cup, the higher rank shall be given to the participant with the highest point score in their best event.
    4.7. The running ranking list of the Cup shall be updated after every event, and published in the official results on the homepage of Club Tartu Maraton.
    4.8. The final rankings of the Cup shall be determined after the last event of the Cup (including virtual races) and shall be published on the Friday following the event on the homepage of Club Tartu Maraton.
  2. The team rankings of the Cup shall be determined in one category: teams. There are no separate team rankings for clubs and companies or men and women.
    5.1. The team rankings are open for participation for any registered sport club, freely made up collective, friend group or company team.
    5.2. The team rankings list of each event shall be composed by adding together the top 5 scores of each team’s members.
    5.3. The overall team rankings in the Cup shall be determined by adding together the team’s point scores from all the events. In case of teams that have acquired an equal number of points over the course of the Cup, the higher rank shall be given to the team with the highest point score in their best event.
    5.4. The top 3 teams of each event shall be awarded as follows: 1st place - cup + 7 free entries to the next event of the season; 2nd place - cup + 5 free entries to the next event of the season; 3rd place - cup + 3 free entries to the next event of the season. The cups are handed over in the Club Tartu Maraton in the next week after the event. Information about free entries will be sent directly to the e-mail of representative of the team.
  3. Awarding the accomplishers of the Cup shall take place after the last event.
    6.1. The top 3 women and men in the individual rankings and the top 3 teams shall be awarded. Based on the individual ranking, only those participants who have participated in all events of the season, have right to the awards (real and virtual races are taken into account).
    6.2. Based on the ranking, awards are given out only if at least 3 real events have taken place during the season. Awards are given out based on the ranking after the last real event, before the final virtual race results.
    6.3. All participants, who have completed all events (Cup accomplishers), shall receive special Cup medals and diplomas.
  4. All the events in the Cup shall be organized according to the regulations of the respective events.

  5. Protests concerning the final rankings of the Cup must be brought in 3 days after the last event of the Cup.

  6. All other cases, not mentioned in the current regulations shall be solved by Board of the Club Tartu Maraton.
